Getting documents legalized
An apostille certificate is the authentication of a document for use in another country and authenticate the signature, seal or stamp of officials on public documents i.e. birth certificates, court orders, or any other document issued by a U.K. public authority, is genuine, meaning that it can be accepted when presented in another country outside of the UK, that also a party to the 1961 the 1961 Hague Convention Treaty.
Many countries across the world now issue and request the apostille certificate be applied to documents from another country. Therefore, sometimes you may need to get your documents legalized at an embassy. These documents can range from P60s, marriage certificates, birth certificates etc.
Unfortunately, this can often be a time consuming process undertaking this by yourself, that is why we aim to make this as smooth and seamless for you.

Additionally, for most of the documents, a copy can be accepted, however we recommend checking with the authority/organization asking you to obtain legalization of your document, whether a copy (not the original) is acceptable.
