We provide consultancy and advice to landlords in respect of the following:

• Drafting tenancy agreements;

• Serving notices to bring tenancies to an end;

• Advice on obligations imposed by the tenancy agreement and Acts of Parliament;

• Advice and/or representation in respect of rent arrears or possession proceedings (including the accelerated procedure for assured short hold tenancies); and 

• Defending disrepair and harassment claims.

We provide consultancy and advice to tenants in respect of the following:

• Advice on possession proceedings under both tenancies and mortgages (including applications to set aside possession orders and warrants for eviction); 

• Advice and Court representation in respect of illegal eviction, harassment and anti-social behaviour cases; 

• Claims for compensation against local authority, housing associations and private landlords;

• Application to Court if the property is in disrepair;

• Advice with transfers, rehousing and homelessness issues; 

• Lodging complaints on behalf of a tenant to the relevant Ombudsman.; and

• Advice and consultancy with succession issues/transferring a tenancy on a relative’s death.
